Tim is preparing the hives for the fall and checking to assure the hive is strong, and treating as needed. Fall honey is typically darker than is spring honey. The rich blossoms of aster, goldenrod and other wildflowers help to create that deep rich flavor.

Ebony, our only hen, is now laying eggs - you go girl!! the other roosters have defined a pecking order and unfortunately, Domino, has gotten too aggressive. We are going to find him a new home, as we have "nice" chickens here. He is only doing what a dominant male chicken does - yet it is not good for the rest of them. Neither Gray Tail or Green Tail are like that. We expect Domino will be relocated later this week.
